Emiliano graduated from Cordoba University in 1997. Following an externship at the University of Hannover in Germany, he moved to Ireland to taste the ‘rural’ mixed practice.
After many cow caesareans, he moved to England where he had the opportunity to specialise in equine practice for four years before moving back home to Spain with his wife. They both started their own practice successfully around a small racetrack in Mijas where race horses, reproductive work and a bit of sunshine in between, kept him very busy.
In 2009 he moved back to England and settled in Berkshire with his family. He had the opportunity to work in a large referral practice and then started Espinar Equine Associates, where he feels he can offer a more personal touch.
Emiliano has knowledge, dedication and experience as an equine veterinary surgeon. He particularly enjoys the challenges of lameness and performance issues, diagnostic imaging as well as performing pre-purchase examinations (vetting). He also enjoys performing some standing surgeries such as dental extractions.
Whilst in England, he was awarded an Equine Certificate in Equine Practice by RCVS and currently is an RCVS advance practitioner. He regularly attends courses to further his commitment to being at the forefront of equine veterinary care. He is a member of ISELP and BEVA.
